In 2003 the Friends of the Library at Kalama (FOLK) was successfully
formed as a non-profit organization by fulfilling both state and federal
requirements. FOLK's purpose is to maintain an association of persons

with a common concern for the Kalama Public Library, with focus on
library expansion and participation in community life. FOLK's conviction
is that good library service is important to everyone.
